Toyota bZ3X in Moscow and Russia: a new electric crossover from China, turnkey in 2026

The Toyota bZ3X (badged 铂智3X in China) is an electric crossover built by the GAC Toyota joint venture. Sales in China began in March 2025, and in 14 months the model sold over 100,000 units. Toyota doesn't sell it officially in Russia: since August 26, 2026, the bZ3X has been offered through parallel-import dealer networks starting at 4.69 million rubles, with a dealer's own warranty. AutoSHTAB works through direct import for the client: sourcing → inspection → purchase → delivery → customs clearance → conformity certification (SBKTS) and e-title (EPTS) → registration with the traffic police. What the Toyota bZ3X is

• Size. 4,600 × 1,875 × 1,645 mm, a 2,765 mm wheelbase. The manufacturer claims 984 mm of rear legroom — one of the best figures in its class.
• Platform. Developed by Toyota together with GAC on an electric platform related to the second-generation Aion V.
• Motor. Front-wheel drive, 150 kW (204 hp) or 165 kW (224 hp) on the version with the largest battery.
• Batteries. Lithium iron phosphate, 50.03 / 58.37 / 67.92 kWh — a CLTC range of 430, 520 or 610 km. Fast charging from 30% to 80% takes about 24 minutes.
• Cabin. A 14.6″ screen on a Snapdragon 8155 chip, an 8.8″ digital instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay and Huawei HiCar, a 1.14 m² panoramic roof.
• Vehicle-to-load. A 6 kW power-export function — enough to run power tools or equipment at a country house.

Toyota bZ3X 2026: what changed

In May 2026 the bZ3X model year 2026 launched in China: 7 versions, list prices of ¥109,800–159,800, with promotional pricing from ¥94,800.

What was added: the base 430 Air+ gained automatic parking, a security mode and a dashcam; the 520 Pro gained heated, ventilated and memory front seats, a tablet mount and rear-seat trays, and a 12V outlet in the trunk. The lidar versions got a new Hesai lidar and the Momenta assistant. A "black series" volume trim based on the 520 Pro launched in June 2026.

For Moscow, the 520 and 610 versions make more sense: an EV's range drops 30–50% in winter, and a larger battery capacity matters more.

Recycling fee, duty and VAT: how the bZ3X clears customs

Electric vehicles clear customs differently from petrol cars. An individual pays a 15% duty on the customs value, an excise tax based on power, 22% VAT, a customs fee and the recycling fee.

• Recycling fee. For electric vehicles it's based on the motor's 30-minute power rating, not peak power. The reduced rate — 3,400 rubles for a car under 3 years old — applies as long as it's no more than 80 hp (58.84 kW). The bZ3X's 30-minute rating is 45 kW (61 hp), so it's within the reduced-rate threshold. We verify the exact figure for a specific version against the documents before purchase.
• Age. The duty on an electric vehicle doesn't depend on age, so there's no advantage to a "sweet spot" 3–5-year-old car the way there is with a petrol one.
• Terms of the relief. The car is imported for personal use, no more than one per year, and not resold within a year of import.

A dealer imports cars as a legal entity and pays the recycling fee at the commercial rate, plus builds in a warranty and margin — hence the large gap between the dealer price and an order placed as an individual.

Toyota bZ3X price in Moscow: dealer or custom order

At a dealer, the bZ3X starts at 4.69 million rubles, but comes with a dealer warranty and service. Industry media estimate a custom-ordered crossover like this comes to roughly 2.6–2.8 million rubles turnkey. The total is made up of the price in China, delivery, customs payments, conformity certification (SBKTS), e-title (EPTS) and registration, and moves with the yuan exchange rate. Can you buy a bZ3X in China yourself

The idea of "buying a Toyota bZ3X in China" is straightforward enough — there it starts at ¥95,000–110,000. But buying from a Chinese dealer is only half the job: the car still has to be exported through an export company, shipped, cleared through customs and certified in Russia.
